Ergonomics and Anthropometry Part 1

One of the setup creates more comfort and space when moving around. It also makes you not so tired as we are always looking at the screen directly


It must be comfortable and warm.

If it is not comfortable, they will be very tired after their work. It should also be warm as it will be very comfortable.

Essential Questions

1) Is the product useful to the elderly?

2) Is the product marketable?

3) Is the product affordable for the elderly?

4) What can the product do?

5) How does the product make the elderly's life easier.


The questions i select is :

3) Is the affordable? ( Because if its $1,000 they cannot buy it, there is no point )

5) How does the product make the elderly's life easier. ( If it doesn't help theres no point)

2) Is the product marketable? ( What functions of the product attracts the customer? )

Understanding the 'Elderly Challenge'

Q1. The four key recommendations are:

1) All new public buses must be elderly friendly
2) Promote more programmes and services for the elderly
3) Top up medusave accounts when government shares budget surplus
4) Family based practitioner based holistic cares for senior

Q2. They are going to provide more services near the housing estates to let the elderly get a more active lifestyle

Q3. Governments can topup the medusave accounts when they share budget suplus to ensure that they can afford.The government should also hire some holistic, family physician to approach towards the healthcare of the elderly.

Q4. I will create a product to make them like better, i will also visit the elderly homes more and i will also donate to the society when i grow up.

Reflection on NEWater plant

1. I learnt how to conserve more water, Our 4 national taps and where the water catchment are in singapore.

2.I learnt that newwater is very clean as they went through many phases of filtration.

3.Ultrafiltration is an effective way of filtering harmful substances from water. It filters all bacteria and most viruses leaving no harmful substance leaving us safe the drink.

4. We can reduce water usage by taking a shower instead of a bath.

Bad design

You cannot put another thumbdrive or usb into the usb port.

CNY is in the air!!!

Week 4: Consolidating your Research

The major problems are the melting of the ice caps causing the sea levels to increase and the world becoming hotter. I think we would like to work o how to prevent global warming, how to use the 3 Rs more and how to save energy. We should take pictures from either the internet for from our cameras on how global warming has affected the Earth.We can create an animation on how the Earth is being destroyed by global warming.

Emotional: Very happy as i liked the design like blood flowing down.

Emotional: I was very happy as i always wanted this watch.

Social: It can tell me time.

3)Takeing an MRT ride

Physical: NIL

Intellectual: This is the way how i get to places myself not with my parents

Emotion: I like taking an MRT because I can see diffent types of people.

Social:It is for the convenience to get to a place.

4)Watching a movie

Physical: NIL

Intellectual: This is one of my entertainment programs

Emotion: very exited about what the movie is about.

Sustainable design is a design for sustaining strong disasters. Singaporean should build this kind of buildings instate of making ones with less ingredients

Research is looking for information on the internet for projects and etc. We research to look for more information and knowledge. We should understand the sentence that we found in wikipedia or other websites, then type/write down the summary of that paragraph.
